887 : Midleton Very Rare 200th Anniversary Edition 28 Year Old Single Pot Still
Released to celebrate 200 years of Irish whiskey excellence, this ultra-limited Midleton Very Rare 200th Anniversary Edition is a 28-year-old Single Pot Still Irish whiskey, marking a historic milestone for Midleton Distillery. This exceptional expression unites heritage and innovation, introducing Japanese Mizunara oak to the Midleton Very Rare range for the first time. The influence of this rare oak adds distinctive notes of sandalwood and fresh wood spices, beautifully complementing tropical fruit tones and the classic richness of pot still whiskey.
Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman personally selected five outstanding casks, including a Mizunara oak puncheon filled over six years ago with a bespoke whiskey initially matured in American oak. The result is a whiskey of remarkable depth, balance, and structure. Bottled at a robust 54.7% ABV and presented in an elegant commemorative gift box, this highly collectible release was limited to just 636 bottles, originally available exclusively through the Midleton Distillery Collection.
