The highly anticipated collaboration from Irish Distillers and Mitchells & Sons, Blue Spot 7 Year Old Cask Strength, has finally arrived! The revival of the Blue Spot marks the end of a 56 year wait since the last recorded bottling of the old Blue Spot in 1964. Building on the bourbon and sherry maturation the new Blue Spot also contains whiskey aged in carefully selected Madiera casks, made in a cooperage in the north of Portugal and then sent to the island of Madeira. Bottled at cask strength, with an annual changing of abv this is Batch 2.
