This Gift Presentation Box is a marriage of founder Terry Cross’s two great passions – Hinch Irish Whiskey distillery in County Down, Ireland, and Cháteau De La Ligne in Bordeaux, France. Casks containing the Cháteau's first ever vintage of Grande Reserve, both Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot, were emptied and refilled with fine Irish Single Malt whiskey that has spent 18 years maturing in Kentucky bourbon barrels. The addition of a further six-month finishing period in the Grande Reserve wine casks has delivered this majestic whiskey for you to enjoy. Some Tasting notes from the whiskey bible

A very different take on wine-influenced whiskey. This is a delivery that doesn't so
ch arrive as simply appears from nowhere alongside a big bang. The natural oils from
the whiskey appear to congeal with the lusciousness of the fruit, so the mouth is filled with,
at first, mah that appears fattened for the slaughter and then that eye-watering black cherry
note that radiates barbed spices. Imagine liqueur chocolate
in liquid whiskey form and here you are."
