How to Sell Whiskey, Spirits, Wine, or Drinks Memorabilia on Celtic Whiskey Auction
Selling on CelticWhiskeyAuction.com is quick, easy, and hassle-free! We make the process simple, and there's no upfront payment required. Any applicable fees and commissions are deducted from the final payment to you.
Selling Fees & Costs
- Registration Fee: €5 per lot
- Reserve Fee: €5 (optional) – Only recommended for niche products that are rarely seen for sale. The decision is entirely up to you.
- Seller's Commission:
- 5% on the hammer price
- Reduced to 3.5% for lots over €2000
- VAT:
- No VAT on the hammer price of whiskey, spirits, wine, or memorabilia sold at auction
- VAT (23%) applies to the commission, listing, and reserve fees only
- Relisting Fees: Listing and reserve fees are applicable if you choose to relist a bottle.

How to Deliver Your Items to Celtic Whiskey Auction
Once your items are ready for auction, you have several delivery options. Please refer to our Auction Calendar for specific delivery deadlines for each auction.

Drop-off at Celtic Whiskey Shop:
The most cost-effective option is to drop off your items at Celtic Whiskey Shop, located at 27-28 Dawson Street, Dublin 2. -
By Courier:
If you prefer to send your items by courier, please ship them to:

Please ensure all items are securely packed before shipping. Responsibility for any damage, breakages, or loss during transit lies with the sender. -
Arrange a Collection:
If you’d like us to collect your items, we can either arrange a pickup (a mileage charge will apply) or organize a courier to retrieve them. Again, please ensure your items are securely packed. Responsibility for any damage, breakages, or loss lies with the sender.
Confirming Your Lots
Once we receive your items, Celtic Whiskey Auction will evaluate their quality and condition. If they meet our standards, we’ll list them in the next auction.
Watch Your Lots
During the auction, you can monitor the progress of your lots in My Auction.
Receiving Payment
At the end of the auction, we will email you with a detailed list of your sold lots. This information will also be available under My Auction. We will send payment via bank transfer or PayPal within 10-14 working days after we receive full payment from the buyer, and no later than 28 days after the auction closes.
- Unsold Items: You can choose to relist unsold items (subject to applicable fees), or if you prefer, we can return them to you. Please note: in the case of returns, you’ll be responsible for any shipping costs unless you arrange to collect the items in person.
