Waterord certainly love a market exclusive and this is no different. Exclusive to the German market.This is one of the distillery's 2021 single malt releases. Located in the rain shadow of the Blackstairs Mountains north of Enniscorthy. The farm is being managed by John Crowley. The hilly lowland barley fields benefit from well-drained loam and clay soil. Waterford whiskey, unlike most Irish whiskeys, is only double distilled. Edition 1.1 matured 46% in bourbon barrels, 22% in American oak, 15% in French oak (15%) and 17% in sweet wine barrels.
