In this exclusive release, Thomond Gate has brought out a whiskey which has been on a very interesting journey. This fruity and complex whiskey was initially matured in Bourbon Casks, then finished in Pinot Noir Casks. Finally, the liquid was transferred into seven fifty-five litre quarter casks, which initially held Peated Bourbon.The Peated Bourbon 55ltrs quarter casks were crafted from the American white oak, naturally seasoned for two years in the southwest of the US and Canada, and charred to release the natural character of the wood. The cask was then filled with double distilled new make from Kings County Distillery, Brooklyn. This is from a very limited run of just 585 bottles.
